LUXSPACE (L), a subsidiary of OHB (D) is offering space system consultancy, engineering and integration services as well as related R&D to national and international customers.

 

Job Profile:

Being part of a team of dedicated engineers, the Simulations Engineer will provide support to Project Managers responsible of the design and implementation of the Space-systems-related software with special focus on Satellite Software Simulators using Simsat but also Ground Systems Software.

 

The position covers the complete span from Software specification & design, project set-up followed by implementation and test. The duties also include the preparation of reports, documentation and operational procedures as well as the monitoring of the work of possible sub-contractors.

 

Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:

 

• Have a space / software engineering Master degree or equivalent.
• Have experience in spacecraft simulations using Simsat.
• Have a minimum understanding of Space Systems
• Have experience/knowledge in the following areas:
  
  
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • Simsat v3, v4 (Satellite Simulations Framework)
  • Simulations Model Portability v2 (SMP2)
  • C/C++, Java
  • Operational Simulators
  • ECSS (ESA Standards)

• Have some experience, preferably as systems or project engineer in a related area is desirable.
• Languages: possess good English language skills, German and/or French knowledge being considered as an asset
• Be able to integrate into and/or to lead cross-functional project teams
• Be interested to work / travel across Europe
• Have good communication capabilities, analytical sense, self-starting qualities, coordination and priority setting abilities.  
• Work permit: EU nationality or Luxembourg work permit mandatory
